Kate Logan, Matt Logan, Ben Deibert and Sarah Valeri are Colorform (formerly KMBS).

Joining forces over the course of 2005-06 the group began blending poetic lyricism, acoustic guitar, cello and visual art into their own brand of independent expression.

Drawing inspiration from such diverse subjects as Greek drama, nervousness, and leukocytes, singer, lyricist, and guitarist Kate Logan approaches songwriting in a way that is at once uniquely complex and poignantly straightforward.

Cellist Matt Logan adds classical sensibility with a modern twist to the material. His cello is not merely a pretty background, but a driving force, fueled by the wide scope of Kate's songwriting. At times, it sings; and at others, it growls and rasps.

Rounding out the high end is guitarist Ben Deibert, whose intuitive simplicity complements the melodic nature of the backing instruments. In addition to the world of aural expression, Colorform also encompasses visual art.

At all live performances and in rehearsals, NYC artist Sarah Valeri draws and paints her extraordinary artwork, a process in which the two art forms are mutually inspired. (http://sarahvaleri.net/)
