Fields of Industry is a psych-kinda rock band from Lansing, Michigan. They've played music for awhile now (since '99), but with songwriter Joshua Barton being the only constant member. The lineup has been more stable lately with Joshua, Eric Gallippo and Joel Schrauben. Band practices usually devolve into ambient noise jams or trips out to play pool. The noise jams took on a life of their own with the formation of the Arts vs Entertainment Ensemble.

FoI self-released a full length and an EP before 2008. In the spring of '08 they released Two Dogs, A Television digitally via Cerberus Records and physically via the band's own imprint, Arts vs Entertainment. FoI and other Arts vs Entertainment projects occasionally release free stuff on the web.
