In Bear Suits is one of the projects of young french musician Pierre Caron (born 1983).

He records short modern folk songs, with little equipment, in a very lo-fi fashion.

Each song is recorded with a very different technique, ranging from home-studio digital equipment to a handheld tape recorder. He also re-records the same songs a lot, trying on new recording approaches for each version.

In Bear Suits has released two EP : Three Ugly Songs in 2006 and Songs about some people I made up in 2007, the latter giving a better view of his work. It’s been re-released in February 2008 : the new edition features slightly re-mixed/re-recorded versions of the previously released songs.

A full-length CD of instrumentals, tentatively titled Tea and Toast : A Collection of Instrumentals, is currently in progress.
