Cornslaw Industries is definitely named in homage to Corwood. And, while I love Jandek, I can guarantee that Jaffe has never heard Jandek and, aside from me telling him about Jandek (which I doubt he remembers) he has probably never heard of Jandek.
Funny comment though. Is it negative criticism? Not sure.
