Hi! I'm Kevin. I live in Peoria, IL. I play bass in a band called Geisert 8. I write a ton of songs, and most don't make the band "cut." most are of the singer-songwriter variety, and I think I seem to fit that niche pretty well. I go by Mayor Byrne on my recordings. I found a campaign button in my grandparents' basement. The name stuck.

I have never played a solo show, as most of my shows occur in my bedroom. I usually play for no one. I'd like to play for more. I'm not stage-fright, but sometimes I fear breaking a string, because I never did learn how to string a guitar properly...

In general, I play guitar, piano, bass, keyboard, drums, organ, computer, etc. I play percussion using broken drumsticks on pieces of plastic lying around, or, if i'm lucky, maybe an extra snare drum and tambourine. I honestly don't care too much about sound quality. That's probably why most of my digital recordings sound like they came off a 4-track. I prefer it that way.

i try my best to sing on key, but sometimes it doesn't happen perfectly. i try my best to keep my guitars in tune, but sometimes they don't like to stay. i write for my (and hopefully your) enjoyment. Take care.
