Brother Bird is a musician/singer-songwriter/composer/DIYer from Kansas City/Lawrence, KS. He's been writing music as Brother Bird/The Perk-O-Lator since July of 2006.
He influences include, but are not limited to: The Microphones/Mount Eerie, Neil Young, Will Oldham, John Cage, Bill Callahan (Smog), Jim Croce, Deer Tick, Viking Moses, Real Live Tigers, Castanets, Thanksgiving/Adrian Orange, Neutral Milk Hotel, Joanna Newsom, Final Fantasy, Super Famicom, Xiu Xiu, Paul Baribeau, Tinyfolk, Belle and Sebastian, La Monte Young, Realicide, Sufjan Stevens, lots of Secretly Canadian bands, lots of K Records/Marriage records bands, The Beatles, Bob Dylan and your mom.
