and it's not much, but this is all i've got

  • In May 2009, my best friend and I journeyed from Portland, OR to George, WA for the Sasquatch! music festival. The music was more incredible than we could ever hope for, but the best part was meeting our campsite neighbors. We were lucky enough to get to spend time with four kind and unassuming Canadian dudes. Though we've only ever spent 3 days in their presence, we're still stoked off of our friendship and hope that we'll get to be their pals for a long time. Plus, there's always Sasquatch 2010.

I wrote a song for each of them.

Thank you Megaan for additional lyrics and unconditional love.
Thank you Brad, Sean, Green Glasses, and Star Panda for being my friends.

This is just a little homemade laptop demo & will be a real studio EP as soon as I can finish makin' that happen.

  • 3rd Stomach Ulcers album.
All songs written by Stomach Ulcers, artwork by Stomach Ulcers, etc.
    Badface >:} Records.

Now, here's a description of all the songs.

1: I Think of You (N): Originally a much longer song about this girl and how awesome she is, but for fear of being too mushy, I cut it down to half of the first verse.

2: May 1st: A song about not liking myself, and about a clock on my wall, that I love a lot.

3: Belarus: An instrumental I made to keep myself from needing to use the washroom.

4: My Brain and my Voice: Talking about how I can't concentrate on shit set to music.

5: Dreaming of a Girl i'll never Love: I had a couple of dreams about a girl I don't know very well, this is about that.

6: Three Walls (Graffiti): Story about an experience I had.

7: Your Picture: First song I wrote for this album. It's about this girl who drew a few pictures for me a few years ago and I lost one of them and I miss it.

8: Car Ride Home from the Movie Theatre: About a girl I'd always go to the movie theatre with.

9: I Hope He Gets a Lot of Time: Re-recorded version of an instrumental from Indie Shmindie.

10: Innocence: A really old recording that I thought i'd throw in here, about how everyone eventually gets corrupted and shit.

11: Mirror, Mirror: Thoughts on myself

Jesus, I sound so lame, i'm sorry.

  • Two boys with a love of noise.

Tracks 1 & 2 by Daydreaming in the Forest.
    Track 3 by Stomach Ulcers
    Art by: Cameron Clarke.

  • Cover of White Guys Jumping's classic song, "Fatcore" and an early Club Noise song about summer and rape that was found this year and lazily reworked with vocals!

  • I'm making these songs as I go along so there will be various unorganized submissions. Oh well.

  • This is the first of a few tracks I hope to create involving samples of my nieces at age 4 and 5.

  • “Have a lick of an introverted universal unit that sticks on your eardrums.
Taste it and enjoy the wet trip wherever you like.“

    crossing while standing still
flying while the body is passiv
    transfixed in a moment
    detached from time

repetitive / atmospheric / slow / warm – introverted suspence
