or Sufjan Stevens?
really nice!
anyone's who met Jordaan or heard him sing, can't HELP but have a crush on him
oh I now have a big music crush on Jordaan Mason. *squeee*
No way, Redbear. I'm kinda done with NMH covers these days
don't do neutral milk hotel. please.
i second the Neutral Milk Hotel idea
great stuff on here, i really like the take on Reno Dakota
I like this I Don't Believe You
The follow-up tribute to this will be
JONATHAN RICHMAN!
I vote for a tribute to Neutral Milk Hotel!
Does anyone second that motion?
The next James Eric-produced tribute will come out in late February 2009!
Happy 7000 view :)
and I'm crazy for all things Manipulator Alligator. Thanks Matthew :)
crazy for James Eric's cover of crazy for you. so good
best thing on cllct! without a doubt
Around Christmas, I'd like to kickstart another compilation / tribute like this, of a band we all love :) Thanks everyone for listening
Yea go ahead and add it, we actually did this song for the tribute, but we thought we were too late to submit it.
Some people will never get over the "the original vs. cover" mentality. And they are idiots. A song is a song and even if you didn't write it, it can become yours. Fuck you don't even have to cover a song for it to become yours. You can jst listen to a song and be like, "This song is mine."

Hmmm. Everyone's a critic :)

YAY!
Spinach bagels are the shit, yo
the more I listen to Redbear.'s song the more I love it.
hey! that reviewer gave me 3 stars! that's more stars than i'd give someone who sounds like neil young. ha! i didn't know i sounded that bad.
basically...FUCK neil young.
i hate it when people are condescending even if it is funny.
grr the site is laggin'
I just noticed he used "it's" when he meant "its." I want to amass a collection of quotes of people saying negative things about Tinyfolk's music with typos and/or grammatical errors in every quote.
Actually, the one I took was "It’s almost mesmerizing in it’s awfulness. Also, it’s funny."
"A cross between John Darnielle and David Cross put through a filter of Nintendo sounds" -
That's a golden press quote if there ever was one.
I disagree with his take pretty much across the board, but I still like the review, if only because i got a nice quote from it to put on the Tinyfolk myspace.
Sic Semper Equis.
Eep! I guess i expected some criticism and not total praise all-around. Taken aback by it, but still grateful for the write-up. I shudder at what he would've wrote about all 21 tracks :)
Redbear: Your song sounds fine to me.

oops, double post
i wish i had redone my singing
everyone on here is fantastic; people went all out crazy
i think this is the most visited page on cllct
does my song sound slow to anyone? like time-warp?
Claudia now has a copy of this thanks to Michael and/or Emma, their managers/tour buddies. More after the Mag Fields-charged weekend has concluded.
I read a lot of them, actually. I just don't like them. Except Cocaine Blunts is pretty awesome, but that's a hip hop blog.
Sic Semper Equis.
For a second Russ, I thought you were talking about the covers on this tribute haha, until I finished reading.
As for music blogs, for writing so much on mine, I never really read anyone else...well that isn't true, but I don't know what the hip blogs are or anything. Or any juicy blog gossip.
cept: Pitchfork has diabetes.
I honestly don't like the majority of them. Not to be a hater or anything. My favorites are the ones that write about people I know, namely Foggy Ruins of Time and sometimes RetroLowFi.
Sic Semper Equis.
I like Stereogum way more than Pitchfork these days. There are so many great music blogs out there that it's overwhelming.
You mean Stereogum. Pitchfork is SOOOOO 2005.
p.s. jay kay, james eric! I don't read either!
Sic Semper Equis.
I love The Culture of Me, and any other music blog that says good things about this. Next up: Pitchfork :)

I also posted it in the collective common blog!
Good Lord, these are all so great!

I can still upload stuff to it, I'm pretty sure. Also, I hadn't deleted all the old tracks, just made them so they didn't display. Now it's just the ones you see, so there should be plenty of room, if there indeed are any limits.
Sic Semper Equis.
Nevermind. It works now.
Haha, well, hopefully this won't keep happening. The tag problem. It better not anyway.
Then I will download them, fix the tags and re-up them.
