Airport Delays

Airport Delays is the companion EP to the Your Yellow Dress Album "Songs for the Backseat". A collection of songs written during, and after the albums was recorded, Airport Delays encompasses the comical, serious and fun sides of Your Yellow Dress. Featuring a demo, a cover, an album track and a part 2, this collection of 5 songs is a great little addition to YYD's releases.

I guess that is like the fancy version. This is also a tour EP that we'll be selling on tour, so please pick up a hard copy (it also comes with a split CD we did). There are 5 songs and each is pretty sweet and unique.

1. Airport Delays: This song was written after being delayed at the Cleveland Int'l Airport, and was recorded in Alex's dorm at UC Berkeley.
2. Major Chords (Happyships): An album track featuring a medeley of the YYD song Major Chords and the Watercolor Paintings song Happyships.
3. Paper Planes (MIA): This is a cover alex and tim did of the MIA song Paper Planes. Tim's first time singing on record!
4. Crazy (demo): This is the demo version on the song Crazy with lyrics by a nice girl named Kimberly. The actual song is on the YYD album "Songs for the Backseat". This version is a little more early Of Montreal-ish.
5. Ukulele Instrumental Part 2: This is a sentimental part 2 that carrie and alex recorded on 4-track in ohio before the parted ways for another 3 (or possibly 8) months.

Thanks to all you who will hear this, alex roommates/suitemates for putting up with recording and shows, the Muller Family for letting me (alex) stay with them and carrie for 2 weeks, and friends we've met on tour esepcially: Watercolor Paintings, Alexander Smith, Existential Hero (Steven) and Brother Mitya.
