Many people move into life with large plans big plans to do many large big things. That's not what this is. That's not what life is. Life is a series of events, some planned many unplanned, and the reactions to those events. That's what things are on a physical atomic, molecular, and larger particles on level, and that's what things are on emotional or spiritual levels...if there are such things. That's what this is. We went in with an idea. Not a full plan. We had no clue what to expect. We performed that idea and it had its high points and its low points. But it's a representation of an environment. Three musicians and an audience. On October 15, 2004, around 9:30 pm or so at the WIUS Station House in Bloomington, IN, Michael Anderson sat at an organ, Ian Dinius stepped up to the microphone with half a drumset at his power, and Ben Myers picked up a couple guitars, with half a mission. Using a format of words written by Ian and a small plan written by all three, a format of words and a harmonic foundation written by Lou Reed, and a couple other half-assed ideas composed by the three musicians, the three lived a false reality for twenty minutes in time. They were born, said some things they wanted to say, emulated a thing that inspired them to do, tried to accomplish some things in their life, and promptly died. That's life. Dolling Up Donny enjoyed it while they could that day. Move with life's current and grab things as you float by. There's not much else you can do. Squandering and composing for that one perfect sonata will get you lost sometimes. be.
