Early Works
All of this material was recorded and assembled using an IBM Thinkpad, an acoustic guitar, my voice, and some software that came free from some weird corner of the world. It's some of my favorite, and very meditative and self-absorbed. The first few are all done strictly with an acoustic guitar, and it was my first encounter with a microphone, which was sadly and interestingly, but most of all convenient/inconveniently integrated within my computer. I do not know to what sort of artist for comparison. Like Daniel Johnston (I knew two Casper songs from the Kids soundtrack) only noisy, but then you get to the middle of the album and it's didgeridoo nonsense and fun with a couple guys I went to school with whose names I vaguely remember as Jessie and Brian. After that comes the brutally honest sunny day followed by a downward spiral (teenager listening to nine inch nails in his bed with the lights out and facing the window blankly, encased in his mind but allowing a filter of light to pass) followed by suicide notes wrapped in chocolate and in the shapes of roses.
