Logan is clearly hogging all the awesome.
06 - "Moonlight Dance"
This song is a hopeful prelude to events to come. It features Austin Springer, an elementary school buddy, playing trumpet with more acoustic-electric stylings from Your Yellow Dress.
07 - "At the Window"
This was track was written for a soundtrack to the short film Joyful Rebellion that never came out. It features more acoustic electric stylings featuring Janaye Pohl on drums, and Alex P playing guitar, keyboard, mandolin and melodica.
08 - "Hymn For Separated Lovers"
This song was originally an improv on the keyboard that Carrie flushed out to a whole song guided by the title I gave it. Its about me and her being away from each other and how to deal with it.
09 - "Away From You"
Using a portasound keyboard and my trusty ukulele I (alex) recorded this all on my own as a lament to what will happen when Carrie leaves for Ohio. It also has some slamming electric guitar influences by Broken Social Scene.
We'd like to think of these songs as sort of a little story of me and Carrie's recent relationship in the past few months with bittersweet moments, late nights, and sad goodbyes.
We'd also like to thank: Logan for doing this split, Austin, Ryan and Janaye for playing with us on these songs, all fans and friends that gave us feedback, awesome house show kids in San Clemente, the great people at CLLCT.com, and whoever the guy who invented music is...
