"Linda Lovelace For President" is an album I made in early 2008. It was born of spiritual turmoil, and many of it's songs had their genesis in the dissolution of a band I was in with Chris Zabriskie called lo-fi is sci-fi. As matter of fact, he wrote "All My Durg Use Is Accidental", "Born Vintage" and "I Hope They Call Me On A Mission".

I recorded this album in five sleepless days while my wife was away at a funeral. Besides the song "Jessica, I Heard You Like The Who", this album can be seen as a counterpoint to a film that shares it's name with the title of this album.

Some songs are very personal. Some don't make any sense. Some never found their way into Marc With a C live shows. It's a really odd record that birthed a lot of really awkward responses. It's also the moment that I realized that I'd done most of the things I set out to do as Marc With a C.

The album originally came with a live DVD. I was in the middle of a long and drawn out legal battle during the production of this album, and I don't have fond memories of anything leading up to it's release. I'm still intensely proud of the musical quotient contained herin, and I hope you'll enjoy it as well.

"I Tried To Die Young" reminds me of Paul Westerberg, especially post-90s Westerberg. This is a huge complement!
