my first album ever! released september 19, 2008.

1. in which st. wolfgang meets the devil
based on a renaissance-era painting of the same name which really struck me. it depicts the patron saint wolfgang of regensberg forcing the devil to help him build a church. of course, the lyrical content has nothing to do with this.

2. climb aboard
i think this song sounds pretty good.

3. fill my head with sunbeams
a song from the grand old 2007 once called "over and over".
and over and over it's over again and there's no telling why and there's no telling when.

4. a bird and a wire
everyone's favorite. and hey i kinda like it
i like the way people interpret the name...
i've gotten "bird and the wire", "the bird and wire", "bird in a wire", and "birds on a wire"

5. the crane
wake up...

6. jupiter
really old song.

7. we were airplanes
mixing kind of distorted and bad, sorry.

8. seventeen flowers
oh these feelings they will follow you. they will swallow you into the bluer sea.

9. mathematics
a prayer to the lord and every other god i know

10. lucky stars
i really do love this song. it turned out perfect.

11. untitled
short reprise of airplanes put through many layers of reverb and panned to one channel.
plus two minutes of silence because i believe silence is an integral part of any album.
