The album is a mashup of many styles, from classical music melodies to ambient textures even to straight up electronica. The album itself is about 50 minutes in length. Recorded from August 2009 to December 2009.

1. We Shout - Post Metal song, sounds like generic hard rock with an ambient twist. Influenced by minor arpeggios using sawtooth waves.

2. The 8th Horseman - Ambient Rock song, using square waves in harmony with each other; soft guitar melodies and a two chord progression. Influenced by This Will Destroy You and Lymbyc Systym.

3. Sun - Ambient Textures, the melodies at the beginning offer a dawn feel, progressing through time into the warmth of daylight. The busy atmosphere of the warm and lonely day is presented. A warm dusk ends the song with the last flashes of sun rays shooting into the sky. Influenced by the Tumbled Sea, Bosch's With You, and Sigur Ros

4. Technicolour - Electronica, possibly the happiest Man of the Moons song, the static quarter note electronic bass drum is used in conjunction with evolving melodies and ambient legato notes. Influenced by Above and Beyond, Ratatat, 65daysofstatic, Aeon Spoke, Sigur Ros and This Will Destroy You

5. Untitled - Ambient, second song with vocals, a very slow and crunchy progression used to created a lonely feel. The flowing ambient feel comes to play to flow the song [really?]. The lyrics are a requiem. Influenced by Gregor Samsa, This Will Destroy You and Sigur Ros

6. Waves Upon Waves - Epic Post Rock, based around Japanese composer's melodies and structure this epic piece brings waves upon waves of sound. Influenced by Nobuo Uematsu, Mono, Mutyumu

7. Beyond Waves - Electronica, a static drum beat mixed with shoegaze sounding synths and the flowing ambient guitar create a odd mood. The song uses 80s synth equalized to give a full sound. Influenced by: This Will Destroy You and M83

8. Orbit - Ambient Electronica, the some-what famous song makes a reprise on this album. Consisting of lonely and spaced out notes. The movement of each note brings out a flowing feel. With the added piano the song then becomes circular with the rounding of each note. Influenced by This Will Destroy You, 65daysofstatic and Explosions in the Sky

9. Opus [Our Cities Are Burning Part I] Ambient, an interlude to the next planned release. This darker toned track poses as the main melody for the new release. The melody was taken from Tchaikovsky's 6th symphony, 1st movement. Influences Silver Mt. Zion, Earth, Mike Oldfield, Valley of Giants

So good so good sooooo good.

Quite varied as well. Love the atmosphere in Sun. So warm, so enveloping. Love the album as a whole.

Opus, I think, is a fitting title.

Enjoying my listen to it. Agree with Rusticalia's comment about 8th Horseman. Really enjoyed the music throughout, despite the stylistic shapeshiftings. To me the best music makes me want to open my DAW back up and get working again myself, and your stuff has me itchy to get back to work. Good stuff!

Nice stuff Andy.. great drones. The 8th Horseman sounds like something Radiohead would sing over.. this is so damn good!

Is there anyway you can zip this so I can burn it to CD?
