Supposing
2008
Tales of honesty in a tale ridden world, from 25 yr old local murders conducted by tormented house wives to stories of failing social orders and families that make the best of it, Aweston delivers insight in the minimalistic fashion of a 6 string guitar, pencil and paper. With a focus on lyrics and song content overlooked by many more prominently known singer song writers today. He dives into the mind of a serial killer with "Sammy's Boy" that left his own father asking why. Replying, "Deep within that mans head he thought "God" wanted him to do these things, I mean come on dad, what would you do if a dog told you he was god and ordered you to kill people?, maybe those people were going to do some horrendous things 5 or 10 years down the road". He then dives into his own mind with "Note to Self", an introspective view of an outsider to oneself. Aweston, with every song, takes his listeners on the journey of his and their lives. A third generation traditional folk/country song writer Aweston draws inspiration from under beds and out from the closets of America herself. Mix in his own experiences from drug use, love, 5 yrs hard labor slavery in a blue collar setting, to free ramblin in a world that doesn't want him(sometimes he doesn't either) and you have "Supposing", his freshman album. Self produced, written and composed over a 6 month period, beginning mid 2007.
