In this 2006 release, Catfish Rivers explores the relationship between man and machine in his music. Purposefully blurring the line between what is a sample, what is being played live, and what is programmed or edited in his music, Catfish taps into such influences as Four Tet, Tortoise, D.J. Shadow, Boards of Canada, Brian Eno, Animal Collective, and the Books.
Wearing headphones to hear this album is highly recommended.

Thanks you guys. It took me a while to log back in here, but wow, thanks for listening and the nice words. I'm glad someone is actually getting a chance to hear these songs! That means a lot to me. Thank YOU for giving your time to listen. I'll be uploading some more music along these lines very soon...I just found all the related session recordings, and there are several definitely worth sharing. STAY TUNED! and THANKS AGAIN! --Much Love, CFR

Wow. Just wow. I'm not going to say it's the best thing on cllct because saying that is stupid and no one is competing here (well, officially, at least)... but it is very very very good. At first I thought 'who do you think you are comparing yourself to Miles Davis?', but now all I can say is congrats on making this album-- it rocks.
Oh wow. This is an FANTASTIC album. The best thing I've found on cllct so far.
