Over a summer and a fall Ian and I spent the time playing music and exploring ourselves within and without those instruments, and what happens when we put a microphone "here" exactly and what gets recorded as a result as opposed to "here" exactly. Then, after having heard Frank Zappa but not of his techniques, we were able to implement xenochrony by the interest in what it would sound like with two tracks of exploration occurring at once, thereby opening the dimensions to wider proportions and larger nths. And now I've lost myself again and what I want to say is that this is more like my dreams than what actually happened. This is not to say that we're not happy about it; I have little idea of how Ian feels about this album, but I think it's amazing, but then I also like picking berries off of plants where most people don't go and eating them.
