Of course the TV is moving. It is my everyday used TV. The stool is "heritage" after my grandpa (D.i.Y. - pear tree, asphalt paint, linoleum, nails and strip steel ... budget: unknown). In 1994 (cca) I told my mother, that stool is art piece and that I plan to exopse it in the National Gallery. It looked like joke, but in 2007 I made it.TV and stool is ideal combining of old and new in ONE OBJECT. (The curators of the exhibition selected my home TV for gallery. Instead of my small TV they gave me BIG TV - my dog is happy, because he loves sport on the TV ... ) Here is photo story: http://m40.blog.cz/0711/tv-set-srnka
TV and stool is ideal combining of old and new in ONE OBJECT (bizzare, grotesque... maybe ... but ONE and contemporary) Coresponding with my architectural manifesto: The indistinguishable border between the old and the new, between the ambient and the proposed. No contrast. Context. Intact structure. Continuation of the chaotic growth of the story. History is not a story with a point to it. It has no victor. Respect for what has grown. Continuation. Empathy. The workaday is a new.
1.Collage 2. Analogy: elimination of the edges and sharp cuts of the collage. The creation uncontrasting whole. Low-tech. Less is more. Tradition.
