Welcome To The Future documents a very intense and interesting 8 months in my life. I went from touring full time straight into a very serious relationship which lead to me eventually marrying my best friend Tessa on Feb. 23rd 2008. So this is all new territory. These are my songs of process, growth, love, confession, fear, optimism and adventure. May they find you well or bring you to a better place.

With Much Love and Respect,

Nate Allen

Additional Notes:

Welcome To The Future is my third full length. It was recorded in a day, in a living room in SE Portland. We rushed the record to get ready for two US Tours we did this summer, rather spontaniously. This is my first time recording with a full band as Destory Nate Allen, which was a lot of fun. Dennis and Ricky had never played the songs before the recording and did a great job.

Ok so I messed up on a few things.. and learned some hard lessons.

Mainly, I would not be so hands off with the recording/mixing. Unfortunately Tessa's mic was turned around resulting in her vocals being far more ghostly than they should be.. this is my main regret with WTTF and pains me deeply. Also I didn't get to mix the record and if I could I would have turned down the drums.

We're very proud of our friend Joe Mendonca's artwork - which is honestly a great reason to order a physical copy of the disc. Welcome also features my first accapella song on a recording, "Jesus, Keep Us Safe From The Cops," which we think turned out great. I'm also really excited about finally getting to include gang vocals and sing-a-longs on a cd! That being said: Welcome was a lot of fun to make and is even more fun to play live. Enjoy the rock n' roll.
