Before next week's "Monday Night Football" game between the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams, cllct will host an eBay Live show, where we will auction off dozens of unique collectibles we've curated over the past few months.
The featured items in our show will lean heavily into storytelling, which is, of course, our strength at cllct.
Please mark your calendars by clicking on the link and setting a reminder to come back at 6:30 p.m. ET on Monday to bid.
What's for sale? Here are five of the more intriguing items that can be yours.
1. CBS announcer's jacket
This is an outstanding piece, and we're kind of shocked we somehow found it. The jacket features the CBS eye logo on the left pocket — right where you've seen it on all the announcers.
This blazer is new with tags, so Jim Nantz hasn't worn this one. However, it's a really cool item for a costume or a gag.
Bidding will start $50.
2. Ray Finkle Dolphins jersey from "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective"
With the Dolphins playing the Rams on Monday, it's a perfect time to sell a No. 5 Ray Finkle jersey.
In the 1994 Jim Carrey movie, Finkle is the former Miami kicker who was haunted by costing his team a Super Bowl victory. Finkle then went on to have gender-affirming surgery and worked for the Miami police department under the name Lois Einhorn.
If you are trying to figure out how this makes any sense, watch "Ace Ventura."
Bidding will start at $15.
3. Official U.S. military newspaper announcing end of World War II
Stars & Stripes was the official newspaper of the U.S. military for World War I and World War II, written by soldiers for soldiers. The paper printed more than 30 editions for World War II and one of the most substantive was this one, which informed soldiers the war in Europe was over.
There were several versions that came out May 8, 1945. One said "Nazi's Quit!" We are offering the other one that says "VICTORY" in large letters. The starting bid will be $150.
4. Mid-1980s official Chicago Bulls warm-up jacket
The most popular basketball warm-up jackets are, obviously, the Chicago Bulls from the Michael Jordan Era.
We're selling an early warm-up jacket, but this is not some Mitchell & Ness remake. It's the actual jacket from the mid-1980s, made by Sand-Knit. Back in the day, you'd have to order the jackets and they didn't even make a retail version.
So, for $75, you would get the same jacket that Jordan got. Sand-Knit was a Wisconsin company, which started to encounter financial troubles in 1987 and never recovered until it filed for bankruptcy in 1989.
Starting bid for the jacket will be $175.
5. O.J. Simpson "Naked Gun" signed card
Not surprisingly, Simpson signed plenty of items. You can find the signed rookie cards and Bills jerseys. But the item we find most unique is a signed novelty card of Simpson as "Nordberg" in "The Naked Gun" franchise.
This won't come cheap, though. Bidding will start at $175.
