The latest collaboration between Fanatics Collect and Sotheby’s opened for bidding Thursday morning featuring a selection of cards from Upper Deck Exquisite Collection, highlighted by a Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman Triple Logoman, which carries a high estimate of $800,000.
Among the 10-lot auction are a number of multi-player cards, including the 2006 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Magic Johnson and Larry Bird Dual Logoman Autographs 1/1 (high estimate: $150,000), a 2006 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Kobe Bryant and Kareem Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Dual Logoman (high estimate: $350,000) and a LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade Triple Logoman (high estimate: $275,000).
Following the Sotheby’s and Fanatics “Holy Grails” auction in September, the Exquisite | Capsule Collection runs Dec. 5-16 and highlights premium modern basketball cards and places a focus on the stars.
Additionally, Tom Brady’s 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket Autograph /100 BGS 7.5/Auto 10, as well as non-Exquisite basketball cards such as an Upper Deck SP Authentic LeBron James Autograph, fill out the auction.
Upper Deck’s Exquisite Collection is considered among the most important modern sports card releases in history, setting the standard for the industry today and boasting some of the most valuable cards in the hobby.
