The light-up dance floor from the 1977 hit movie "Saturday Night Fever" sold for $325,000 at Julien's Auctions on Thursday night.

The floor, which was dominated by John Travolta's character Tony Manera in the movie, is 24 feet long and 16 feet wide. It features 288 light bulbs inside it.

Last year, Julien's sold Travolta's all-white suit from the movie for $260,000.

Travolta, then 23, was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the movie, which pulled in $237 million at the box office on a $3 million budget. It lead to his role, the following year, as Danny Zuko in "Grease," the top-grossing film of 1978.

The soundtrack for "Saturday Night Fever," featuring "Staying Alive," "How Deep Is Your Love," "Night Fever" and "You Should Be Dancing" by the Bee Gees, is the second-best selling movie soundtrack of all time, behind "The Bodyguard" (1992).
