Nirvana "Nevermind" cassette sells for over $12,000

After a Nirvana early not-for-sale cassette copy of the 1991 hit album "Nevermind" sold for over $12,000, Darren Rovell and Will Stern think this is a tremendous sign not just for the music market, but for the rare items market.

The cassette did not have an accompanying population report, but the nature of its release, with only about 300 copies, means there is a small and finite amount in existence, which greatly increases its value.
