A Shohei Ohtani game-worn jersey from his fourth game as a Los Angeles Dodger, signed and inscribed “24 NL MVP,” sold for $249,999 via Fanatics to set an all-time record for any Ohtani jersey.
Fanatics sold the jersey as part of its first monthly drop of high-end pieces dubbed the “Ohtani Signature Collection”, which the company plans to offer on the 17th of each month via its website.

Prior to the sale, which occurred less than 24 hours after the fixed-price listing went live on the Fanatics site, the record price paid for any Ohtani game-worn jersey belonged to his first grand slam jersey, which sold for $228,600 at Sotheby’s in February 2023.
Last year, a jersey believed to be worn by Ohtani during his pre-MLB career for the Nippon-Ham Fighters of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball in 2017 sold for $65,000.
A Dodgers jersey worn in April 2024 — the first Ohtani Dodgers gamer to sell at MLB Auctions — fetched a little more than $100,000 in May 2024.
The record-setting jersey at Fanatics was obtained via the MLB Authentication program and features an accompanying hologram for verification.
All seven of the items listed for sale on the Fanatics site for its inaugural drop of the Ohtani Signature Collection have sold out as of Tuesday morning, including two framed jersey collages (not game-worn), limited to five, for $34,999.99 each, a game-used ball from his 50-50 game in a limited-edition display for $49,999.99 and other displays of limited-edition collectibles.
In total, Fanatics sold nearly $475,000 in memorabilia across seven items, ranging in price from $249,999.99 to $29,999.99.
