After launching the SKX_01 soccer cleat in the United States in partnership with Harry Kane in July, Skechers dropped a limited-edition colorway in honor of the striker winning the European Golden Shoe, an award given to the top goal-scorer in his division.
Just 36 “gold boots” were created as a twist on Kane’s signature cleat. Each of the pairs is numbered to represent goal total for the Bayern Munich star in his first Bundesliga season.
According to Footwear News, Skechers sold out of the release within days of its launch in late August. The shoes retailed for £236.00 (around $307 U.S. dollars).
Kane wore his personal pair during an international match Tuesday against Finland at Wembley, where he was also presented with a golden cap and special kit honoring his 100th appearance.
Kane signed a lifetime global deal with the company in August 2023, timed with the initial unveiling of the SKX_01 model cleat, which was launched in European markets prior to arriving stateside this year.
