For the second year in a row, fashion brand Kith and Marvel are collaborating on a sneaker drop that includes a PSA-authenticated collectible.
Announced Monday in a post by Kith owner Ronnie Fieg, this year’s “Marvel Super Villains” collection features Asics sneakers with designs inspired by famous villains, including Venom, Green Goblin, Magneto and Silver Surfer.
Prior to a full release, the collaboration will be available in a limited run at PSA’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday and Friday. Each pair of sneakers will come with a matching comic book, with the rarest of the 25 total variants arriving in a prototype PSA comic book holder.
Prices for the collection have yet to be announced.
The industry leader in graded trading cards, PSA announced last week it would begin grading comic books and magazines in 2025. The graded comic and magazine market is currently dominated by CGC.
This release follows last year’s X-Men GEL-LYTE IIIs drop that included X-Men trading cards. Similar to the Super Villains drop, the rarest trading cards were holdered by PSA.
The X-Men release arrived in a box similar to the packaging for the Uncanny X-Men trading card set. Similar to trading card hobby boxes, the packaging could be folded down into a display box.
