Logan and Jake Paul have offered $12 million for the "Make America Great Again" hat Donald Trump was wearing during the assassination attempt on the former president on July 14.
The brothers spoke about the assassination attempt on their podcast, "Impaulsive," on Tuesday, before Logan stated he would pay $2 million for the hat. Jake then upped the offer to $3 million before stating he would be willing to pay $12 million for it. The pair then agreed to split the cost.
The record paid for a baseball hat is the $590,994 paid at Leland's in 2017 for a metal plate lined Brooklyn Dodgers hat to protect Jackie Robinson from being thrown at.
Since the attempt, a myriad of Trump merchandise has flooded the collecting world, with GetTrumpSneakers.com selling “Fight! Fight! Fight!” High Tops, with an image of Trump raising his fist and a line of blood coming across his face following the shooting. The site is owned by Trump.
Even trading cards depicting the same image have made their way into the collectibles space.
The Paul brothers spending millions of dollars on collectibles is nothing new. In 2022, Logan spent $5.3 million on a PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card, making him the owner of the most expensive Pokémon card in the world.
