No one had a better postseason than Freddie Freeman, both on and off the field.
The Dodgers first baseman clobbered four home runs and 12 RBIs to the tune of a .300 average, headlined with perhaps one of the greatest postseason home runs ever, the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history.
And while Freeman played hero for the Dodgers, fans showed their gratitude in his jersey sales.
Freeman, who ranked 18th in jersey sales in the regular season, catapulted up to seventh when you include postseason figures, confirmed to cllct by Fanatics. These sales are all via Fanatics.com, MLBShop.com and the team official e-commerce stores.
Adding Freeman to the top 10 gives the Dodgers three of the top 10 players in jersey sales, as Shohei Ohtani continues his two-year stranglehold on the top spot, and Mookie Betts finished third overall.
The postseason bolstered a few other players’ sales — but also dropped some.
Aaron Judge rose from third to second, Betts from fourth to third, and Juan Soto jumped from the seventh spot to five.
Ironically, Rangers shortstop Corey Seager, who won last year’s World Series MVP, moved up from 11 to 10 during the postseason, despite Texas missing out on the playoffs this year.
The only players to drop out of the top 10 during the postseason were reigning NL MVP Ronald Acuña Jr., who finished sixth in the regular season, despite missing most of the year with a torn ACL, and Cardinals slugger Nolan Arenado, who was replaced by Seager in the 10-slot.
