The 15-card commemorative set will be on sale until Nov. 4 at a price of $59.99.
Each standard base set will include one parallel, ranging from an unnumbered White Parallel to a 1/1 Gold. Collectors will also have a chance at randomly-inserted autographed cards from players including Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Walker Buehler and Shohei Ohtani, who will have limited-edition autograph cards (/5 and /1).
Continuing with the recent success of the Topps NOW product, which captures moments from the season and offers print-on-demand cards for a limited time, the release marks the latest in a slew of offerings coming over the past few months.
After Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in Game 1, Topps NOW released cards depicting Freeman alongside fellow Dodgers World Series hero Kirk Gibson. Among the parallels randomly inserted into orders to replace the base card is a 1/1 dual autograph redemption. The 24-hour purchase window ended with a final print run of 11,624 cards.
The all-time record for the best-selling Topps NOW card printed was set last month by the Ohtani 50-50 release, which sold 653,000 copies.
Earlier this week, Topps announced it had acquired a game-used base from Freeman’s Game 1 Grand Slam, which was inserted them into limited-edition Topps NOW cards. The 125 available copies sold out prior to the close of the 24-hour release window at $299.99 each.
