Like it or not, the shocking $87,840 sale of a Charizard-shaped Cheeto appears to have opened the floodgates for entrepreneurial salty snack aficionados.
Just a couple weeks after the sale of the chip resembling the famous Pokémon character, another Cheeto, this time claiming to be in the shape of Michael Jordan’s “Jumpman” logo, is up for bid at Goldin Auctions.
After a few days on the block, the "Jumpman" Cheeto has garnered just three bids up to $366, including buyer’s premium.
Unlike the “Cheetozard,” which came with a shockingly detailed degree of provenance, as cllct reported on last month, little backstory is being shared regarding the Cheeto Jordan.
Recent sales data would suggest the massive Cheetozard sale was a bit of an outlier, as the massive media coverage of the sale failed to inspire similarly shocking prices elsewhere, with no sales of a Cheeto shaped like something other than a Cheeto on eBay in the past 90 days surpassing $30.
