In Heritage Auctions' signature movie poster event of the year, Disney artwork stole the show.
A 1937 "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" poster, measuring 40 inches x 60 inches, set the high mark in the auction thus far, selling for $81,250.
That artwork narrowly edged out another Disney poster, a 1933 "Mickey's Pal Pluto," which sold for $75,000.
The Snow White poster, designed by Swedish illustrator Gustaf Tenggren, was last offered by Heritage in 2007.
Disney produced the top four items overall, between Snow White, Mickey and a 1924 poster from "Alice in the Jungle".
Three Mickey Mouse posters eclipsed the $30,000 mark, tied with Frankenstein for the most, though no Frankenstein poster reached $45,000, while two Mickey Mouse posters did.
Only one movie poster from the last 50 years reached the five-digit threshold, with a 1975 "Jaws" poster selling for $18,750.
