eBay announced Tuesday it is launching “Gametime Gets,” a collection of 50 basketball cards commemorating on-court achievements and curated by Candace Parker, with drops scheduled each Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Beginning with 10 cards matching moments from the 2024 WNBA season, the first drop includes an A’ja Wilson 2020 Prizm WNBA Signatures Mojo (honoring her third MVP award), a Caitlin Clark Panini Instant Debut Jungle Auto (honoring her single-season assists record) and a Kelsey Plum 2023 Prizm Get Hyped Gold (honoring her 3,000 career points milestone).

"To see the W in the spotlight this season has been amazing. I know firsthand how hard these athletes work — and now the world is seeing it, too,” Parker told cllct. “Fans across both leagues are more excited than ever to be a part of the game’s biggest moments.”

The initiative is meant to run for 24 hours, with auctions starting at 24 cents per card. The cards will highlight milestones from the previous week.

Future milestones and cards are planned for LeBron James’ 1,500th game played (2003 Topps Chrome Gold Diamond), Anthony Edwards’ 7,000th career point (2020 Panini Flawless Auto) and Victor Wembanyama recording three blocks and three 3-pointers in a single game (2022 Bowman Chrome Auto).

Cards and milestones for future drops are listed as pending on the Gametime Gets eBay page, with the auctions planned to go live after each achievement is fulfilled.

“Basketball card” was searched more than 10,000 times per day on eBay globally in 2023, with the top five active NBA players with the most items sold during the 2023-24 season being Wembanyama, James, Edwards, Luka Dončić and Jayson Tatum. The top five active WNBA players with the highest search volume since the start of the 2024 WNBA season were Clark, Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, Wilson and Plum.

eBay searches tend to peak for athletes around the time of milestone moments on the court. After Parker announced her retirement in April 2024, global searches surged 50%, compared to the prior month.

When Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves reached the Western Conference finals, searches for “Anthony Edwards card” increased over 1,850%, compared to the first month of the season, according to eBay.
