A rare LeBron James Monopoly set, which was never released to the public, is up for auction at Sotheby’s, already reaching $10,000 with five days remaining.

Included in the "Court Classics" auction of sneakers and modern collectibles, the set includes the Monopoly LeBron James Edition board game, a LeBron Nike T-shirt and a rare Friends & Family edition of the Nike LeBron 1.

The Nike LeBron 1 features a largely teal blue design and Monopoly branding.

Friends & Family sneakers are considered ultra-rare editions and are often given to close friends of the company or celebrities and are typically not released to the public.

The LeBron James Monopoly set was created to celebrate Monopoly Day in 2024. Nike and Hasbro collaborated for the board game and created special themed pieces, including rings, sneakers, basketballs and jerseys.

The board itself featured landing spots that highlighted key points throughout James’ career.

The collaboration with Nike and Hasbro is one of many for the Monopoly brand over the decades, with other crossovers including dozens of special board game editions and even video games with franchises such as "Star Wars" and "Spongebob Squarepants."

Monopoly has also increased its presence in the collectibles space through collaborations with trading card manufacturer Panini America.

Panini Monopoly Prizm Basketball debuted with a set for the 2022-23 season and included a 90-card checklist for card collectors.
