A signed traffic ticket LeBron James received a few months after his mother bought him a Hummer H2 as an 18th birthday present is hitting the auction block.

James, then a high school senior, was driving in Akron, Ohio, on the night of March 1, 2003, without a rear license plate, which is illegal in all 50 states.

The ticket, which is in Goldin's September Elite Auction, has a beautiful early James signature in the upper right corner.

James came under fire by the Ohio State High School Athletic Association for getting the Hummer. He was ruled ineligible to play for two games, but was cleared when his mother, Gloria, provided evidence of a $50,000 loan.

James and his St. Vincent-St. Mary's team went on to win its third state title in four years.

Goldin auctioned off the actual Hummer H2 in 2018, but it failed to reach its reserve bid.
