Luka Dončić’s jersey from his “revenge game” against his former team, the Dallas Mavericks, will sell at auction next week, with bidding already surpassing $30,000.
In his first contest against the Mavericks since he was shipped to Los Angeles in one of the most shocking trades in sports history, Dončić scored 19 points and recorded 12 assists, 15 rebounds and three steals in the Lakers' 107-99 win Feb. 25.

Barry Meisel, President of MeiGray, the company selling the jersey through its deal with the Lakers, told cllct Dončić changes jerseys at halftime regularly. That was the case for the “revenge game,” as the jersey selling at MeiGray was only worn in the first half (in addition to the first half of a game three days prior).
Equipment managers for NBA teams keep a “blood set” for each player during a game — essentially a set of backup jerseys in case a jersey is torn or bled on.
In the case of the game against the Mavericks, the equipment manager had enough inventory for the team to deliver a full set of Lakers jerseys from that game to MeiGray, which was due a set in that style per their contract.
