Despite a limited supply of memorabilia and cards, interest in Rory McIlroy collectibles surged massively Sunday when the golfer secured his first Masters victory after more than a decade of heartache.

Searches for “Rory Mcllroy” leapt by 6,000% on eBay compared to the average day the week before the start of the Masters. Similarly, searches for “Rory Mcllroy cards” jumped 1,800%.

The most expensive Mcllroy items to sell on eBay that day were a 2013 SP Game Used Trios Tiger Woods, Rory Mcllroy and Jack Nicklaus card ($600), a Mcllroy-signed Masters flag ($359.99) and a Sports Illustrated for Kids uncut sheet from 2011 featuring Mcllroy’s rookie card ($89.95).

The most expensive Mcllroy card ever sold is his 2014 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Inscriptions Gold Spectrum 1/1, which fetched nearly $8,000 in September 2022.

On Sunday, shortly after Mcllroy completed his career Grand Slam, Fanatics Collect sold a Mcllroy rookie patch auto card for $4,680, the most expensive Mcllroy card to sell this year and the eighth-most expensive all time.
