Caitlin Clark has broken another record, this time for the most expensive WNBA trading card.
Clark's 2024 Panini Instant WNBA Blue Viper 1/1 Autograph sold Tuesday for $24,921.60 via Dutch Auction at Panini America’s website.
The sale ranks as the most expensive WNBA card sold via public auction. Originally listed for $25,000, the price dropped just once before purchase.
Part of the latest Panini Instant drop for Clark, the record-setting card celebrates the Indiana Fever star scoring 20 points in her WNBA debut.

Exclusive to Panini America for autographs, memorabilia and trading cards, Clark has only been featured on Panini Instant cards since signing her deal with the card manufacturer in March.
Flagship sets and rookies are expected to arrive later this year.
“The demand and popularity for Caitlin continues to grow in the trading card category, and we are excited to continue to feature her and other WNBA players in upcoming products,” Jason Howarth, senior vice president of marketing and athlete relations, told cllct.
The sale easily tops the previous record of $10,800 paid for Sabrina Ionescu’s 2020 Panini Prizm WNBA Black Gold PSA 10. That Ionescu rookie sold through PWCC’s Weekly Auction in February 2023.
Another Clark Panini Instant Blue Viper 1/1 Autograph — Clark’s first WNBA card — sold at the end of April for $10,000. Also sold via Dutch Auction, that Panini Instant card celebrated Clark’s selection as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
The record-setting sale for Clark arrives amid a large increase in popularity for her collectibles, including graded cards.
According to grading giant PSA, Clark’s graded card volume increased 1,781% month-over-month from last October through April 2024.
The sale also confirms significant interest for Clark in her WNBA uniform after setting sales records at Iowa. Clark’s 2022 Bowman University Superfractor Rookie Auto 1/1 PSA 10 remains the most expensive women’s basketball card after a $78,000 sale through PWCC earlier this year.
