Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Lee will join a number of baseball icons at a New York Yankees-themed panel later this summer at Fanatics Fest NYC 2025.
Hosted by former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, the “Only in New York” panel will feature Lee alongside former Yankees greats Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Andy Pettitte. The panel is described as “Yankees legends to revisit glory, grit, and greatness.”
The panel is the latest announced for the event, which will take place June 20-22 at the Javits Center in New York.
Entering its second year, Fanatics Fest NYC announced last week it will host a quarterback panel featuring Hall of Famers Dan Marino and John Elway alongside current NFL stars Jayden Daniels and C.J. Stroud. Journalist and TV host Taylor Rooks will host “The QB Playbook.”
As of mid-April, Fanatics Fest NYC 2025’s guest lineup includes stars such as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Allen Iverson, Cody Rhodes, Dwyane Wade, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Jaromir Jagr, Joe Montana, Sheryl Swoopes and more.
More than 70,000 fans attended last year’s inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC, which Fanatics Events has designed to be a comic con for sports fans.
Following a successful debut, Fanatics announced in December that Fanatics Fest NYC would return in 2025 with an expanded three-day show, including more than 500 celebrity guests and a larger trading card and collectibles exhibit.
Fanatics Fest NYC 2024 was heavily targeted toward young sports fans, and saw extreme interest for activities such as the 40-yard dash and WWE entrance recreations.
