A Seahawk flew all the way to Madrid, and he came bearing gifts.
Seattle star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba posted a photo with soccer superstar Kylian Mbappé on his Instagram story Monday in which JSN was gifting the Real Madrid forward his own signed Seahawks jersey.
It is unknown if the jersey is game-worn or simply game-issued. And it is also unknown whether Mbappé gifted Smith-Njigba a kit in return.
But one thing is certain, if there was an exchange, one of those jerseys would be much more valuable than the other.
The French superstar, who many consider to be the best footballer in the world, has been a powerful mover in the hobby, with jerseys having sold for more than $30,000 and one of his cards, a 2018 Panini Prizm World Cup Gold /10 BGS 8.5, sold at Goldin in 2021 for $161,130.
Meanwhile, Smith-Njigba, coming off a career year in his second NFL season, has a high sale on a card of $5,000 for his 2023 Panini Flawless Collegiate RPA 1/1, which sold on eBay in 2024
This isn't the first time recently that we've seen an NFL star, let alone a wide receiver, gift an international superstar their jersey.
Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua gifted a jersey to Luka Dončić following Dončić's Lakers debut.
