Kristin Juszczyk is turning her DIY merchandise into an officially licensed NFL product.
Juszczyk, wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, announced Thursday she is launching Off Season, a premium fan apparel brand. Off Season products will be officially licensed by the NFL and available at the NFL Shop Online in partnership with Fanatics.
"Off Season is all about redefining the intersection of football, sports, and fashion" Juszczyk said in an Instagram post. "And I promise you, I poured everything I have into making sure this brand delivers the quality and designs you all deserve!!"
Juszczyk, 30, is also partnering with fashion designer and entrepreneur Emma Grede, co-founder of SKIMS.
The initial drop, which will arrive Tuesday, features unisex puffers celebrating five NFL teams: the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Buffalo Bills. Juszczyk assured fans in her social post she is working tirelessly on apparel for all 32 organizations.
Juszczyk does not have a background in fashion design, rather began creating her own custom clothing to wear to 49ers games out of boredom, she told Vogue.
“I just got sick of wearing the same three shirts in rotation,” she told Vogue. “I got inspired by the lack of options actually.”
She then began posting her DIY videos to social media, where she gained a huge audience of nearly 2 million followers, with many noteworthy individuals who have asked Juszczyk for custom apparel, including Taylor Swift and Simone Biles.
Though she already had amassed a large following, Juszczyk told Vogue that Swift wearing a custom jacket truly gave her project national attention.
"I can’t WAIT for you to see every single piece!" Juszczyk said on Instagram. "I’ve poured my heart and soul into Off Season, and I really hope you love these designs as much as I do!"
