Tiger Woods is scheduled to tee off Thursday for his 26th Masters appearance.
Woods has won five Masters tournaments, most recently taking the Green Jacket in 2019 when he earned his first 15th major.
Despite struggling with injuries and playing just a single full round on the PGA Tour in 2024, Woods remains one of the sport's biggest draws, in addition to a dominant force in the memorabilia market.
We took a look back at Woods’ most valuable memorabilia sales in the Tiger Woods cllct10.
1. Card record
The most valuable Tiger card ever sold is his 2001 SP Authentic “Authentic Stars” Gold Card, serial numbered to 100 and featuring an on-card autograph.
One of the 16 PSA 10 examples went for $336,000 at Goldin Auctions in March 2021. The card was produced by Upper Deck, which has had an exclusive license with Woods for more than two decades.
2. Ticket record
Golden Age Auctions sold a signed ticket from Woods’ 1992 PGA debut at the Nissan Open for $104,694 in April 2022.
It’s one of just three examples signed by Woods and authenticated by PSA. In addition to featuring Fred Couples’ signature, Golden Age declared in its auction listing that it was signed contemporaneously by then-16 years old Tiger Woods.
3. Clubs
Woods’ irons, used to win four majors in his run known as the "Tiger Slam" in 2000-2001, sold for a record-shattering $5.16 million in April 2022. Not only is this the high watermark for any piece of Woods memorabilia, but it holds the record for any golf-related sale in history.
The clubs had sold at auction previously in 2010, when they were purchased for $57,242.
4. Golf shirt
Next to the Green Jacket itself, no other piece of clothing in golf history can match the powerful symbolism of Woods’ "Sunday Red" Nike golf shirt.
Golden Age obtained what is believed to be the only privately held example of a Woods' Masters-worn "Sunday Red" polo, directly from Upper Deck.
Woods wore the shirt in the 2010 Masters, his return to the sport after his infamous 2009 Thanksgiving scandal. It sold for $139,348 in December 2022.
5. Hole-in-one ball
In Woods’ first professional tournament at the Greater Milwaukee Open in 1996, he hit one of his 20 lifetime hole-in-ones (his first came at age 6).
That ball was obtained by a fan, who yelled for Tiger to "throw the ball out" as he removed the ball from the hole. Shockingly, Woods obliged, tossing the ball directly to the onlooker.
The fan’s brother-in-law was able to convince the tournament director to obtain a Woods autograph, adding even more incredulity to the already-historic memento.
Heritage sold the ball, assigned a grade of PSA/DNA 8, for $186,000 in November 2022.
6. Score sheet
Heritage sold a scoresheet from Woods’ 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open professional debut for $69,000.
They dubbed it “the most thrilling artifact from that historic Tiger Woods professional debut that [they have] ever encountered” in the auction listing, describing how the public scoresheet — a 25x46-inch poster board, which updated fans on the course — exhibits a hole-by-hole recording of Woods’ final 36 holes of the tournament.
7. Golf cart
While serving as vice captain for the 2016 Ryder Cup team, Woods was seen riding around in a golf cart. Later, all carts from the event were stripped of logos ... except for the one that carried Woods.
Golden Age sold the cart for $17,538 in June 2018.
8. Autographed glove
A rare artifact from Woods’ historic performance at the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, a signed glove sold for $96,198 at Golden Age in December 2022.
9. Tournament-used bag
In November 2023, Heritage sold a Woods tournament-used golf bag for $15,600.
Accompanied by documentation that photo-matched it to two rounds of play in the 2001 Buick Classic, the bag also included Woods’ signature.
10. Michel Jordan/Tiger Woods card
Upper Deck produced a single card featuring both of its most famous licensed partners.
Jordan and Woods applied their autographs to 25 copies of the 2002 Upper Deck Superstars Legendary Leaders card, each embedded with pieces of their respective worn jersey and shirt. Just five have been graded PSA 10, with one selling for $43,200 in May 2021 at Goldin Auctions.
