A 1-of-1 Victor Wembanyama Rookie card sold Thursday night at PWCC for $516,000, a record for any Wembanyama card.

The card, a 2023 Panini Prizm Black Shimmer parallel, was one of the most sought-after Wembanyama cards produced for his rookie season, during which he managed to live up to the extraordinarily high expectations and become the heavy favorite to win Rookie of the Year honors.

Prior to this sale, the record was owned by a 2022 Bowman University Best SuperFractor, which sold for $67,333 in June 2023, before Wembanyama had played an NBA game.

This sale came just hours after a Wembanyama TopShot NFT sold for $145,000, the fifth-largest in the platform's history.

The PWCC card is one of three 1-of-1 examples produced for the phenom's first appearance in Panini Prizm's flagship release, all of which have been pulled from packs, though no others have been listed for public auction.
