You've probably seen it by now: Dwyane Wade's statue was legendarily bad.
As in, "How the heck did that thing get approved at multiple stages?"
But how bad was the statue, which was revealed Sunday outside the Miami Heat's Kaseya Center, on the scale of worst statues of all time? cllct has you covered.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo's bust, carved by sculptor Emanuel Santos in 2017 for the Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport in his native Portugal, was a major miss as the soccer superstar's face didn't look close. Santos redid it.
2. Andy Murray
The Shanghai Rolex Masters honors some of its singles champions with a Terra Cotta warrior statue. In 2011, the tournament revealed a warrior statue with Murray's face on it and a racket in his hand. However, the face and hair look nothing like the three-time Grand Slam singles champ from the United Kingdom.
3. Dwyane Wade
Wade's face looks like he's 65 years old, and the Internet had endless jokes when the statue was unveiled Sunday night. Wade himself was speechless upon the reveal, and even former NBA rival Paul Pierce said the statue needs to be redone.
4. David Beckham
H&M in London commissioned a silver statue of David Beckham, whose most prominent feature was the buldge in his underwear.
5. Ray Lewis
When Ray Lewis was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and he lifted the sheet off his bust, there was an awkward moment. The bust looked nothing like Lewis, with some saying it looked closer to Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon.
6. Wayne Gretzky
The Great One's statue, erected in Edmonton in 1989, misses the target. The artist gave up on stenciling the Oilers on the jersey, and the No. 99 on the back is also lacking. The face is also missing small details.
7. Brandi Chastain
This is a plaque and not a statue, but the Bay Area Hall of Fame really missed when honoring Brandi Chastain in 2018. The U.S. Soccer legend looks like she was aged up a couple decades on the plaque.
8. Mohamed Salah
The statue of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, unveiled in his home country of Egypt in 2018, is a bit unusual to say the least. One Internet commenter said the statue looked more like Daniel Stern's "Marv the burglar" character from "Home Alone."
