Despite being unlicensed, 2024 Topps Chrome Basketball is a highly anticipated arrival this summer.

A $1 million bounty has been placed on what many collectors believe could be one of the most important cards released in 2024.

The bounty can be redeemed for the Victor Wembanyama Superfractor 1/1 Autograph from the upcoming 2024 Topps Chrome Basketball release, Jared Bleznick announced Monday,

A well-known sports card hobbyist and poker player, Bleznick owns Blez Sports Cards as well as the Legacy Sports Cards shop in Las Vegas.

Bleznick also recently won more than $2 million playing High Roller No-Limit Hold'em at the 2024 World Series of Poker.

“This is going to be one of the most iconic returns to sports cards,” Bleznick said in the post. “You’re talking about one of the biggest brand names in all of sports cards. Topps Chrome is back.”

Scheduled to release Aug. 28, Topps Chrome Basketball is the first NBA product from Topps in 15 years, with Panini America holding the exclusive rights to make licensed NBA trading cards since 2009.

Despite being unlicensed — Fanatics is expected to take over the exclusive NBA license in 2025, barring a delay from a lawsuit between the company and Panini — Topps Chrome’s return has been highly anticipated by collectors.

Pre-orders for the product sold out nearly instantly last week, with secondary-market prices reaching nearly $500. Some collectors still expressed skepticism that cards featuring heavily-airbrushed designs to remove logos were worth the original $269.99 retail price.
