Just seconds after being listed on Panini’s website, a Caitlin Clark card sold for $4,999 — the latest example of the insatiable desire for her collectibles.

Panini released Instant cards for WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese on Friday afternoon, celebrating the two star’s record-breaking performances this past weekend.

Clark, who became the first WNBA rookie to record a triple-double in the league’s history, will be featured on cards ranging from a $9.99 base card to a $4,999 Blue Viper 1/1 autograph card. Other limited-edition cards will be numbered to 25, 10 and 5.

Reese, fresh off breaking the WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles, will receive a $9.99 base card as well, in addition to a $149.99 Blue Viper 1/1 and a range of other limited-edition cards. Reese does not have an autograph card featured in this drop.

Both Clark and Reese are Panini-exclusive athletes.

Panini has found success in these releases in recent months, particularly for Clark, as her 2024 Panini Instant WNBA Blue Viper 1/1 Autograph card sold for $24,921.60 via Dutch Auction in May, a record for any WNBA card.

Previously, another Panini Instant card featuring Clark — her first as a professional — sold for $10,000 just minutes after being listed back in April.

Clearly, the company sees dollar signs in the WNBA phenom, as they released the Caitlin Clark Collection earlier this month.
