Among the most important cards from 2024 Topps Chrome Baseball, the Elly De La Cruz Superfractor 1/1 Autograph sold Monday at Goldin for $116,534, the highest public sale for any De La Cruz card.

According to Card Ladder, the Superfractor, graded a PSA/DNA 9/10, easily tops the previous public record of $40,000 paid for a 2022 1st Bowman Chrome Autograph Red Refractor PSA 10 on eBay in 2023.

Considered one of the most exciting and explosive athletes in baseball, De La Cruz has been one of the most popular players in the hobby since his debut in 2023. Among baseball players, De La Cruz’s 69,500 sales tracked by Market Movers over the last 365 days are second only to Shohei Ohtani’s 86,000.

In addition to an extremely strong low-end market, De La Cruz’s cards have done extremely well at the high end. Despite making his debut just more than a year ago, De La Cruz has had 15 cards already sell for $20,000 or more, and four have topped $30,000.

Along with the De La Cruz Superfractor, cards from Mookie Betts and Jackson Holliday also set public sale records for each player at Goldin’s August Elite Auction on Monday.

Betts’ 2014 Bowman Chrome Autograph Prospects Red Refractor PSA 10 fetched $123,220, and Holliday’s 2024 Topps Chrome Superfractor 1/1 Autograph finished at $68,527.
