Marvel Topps Chrome 2024 made its much-anticipated debut Friday as a surprise drop for European collectors.
Available during a 24-hour EQL launch window, the set retails for £185.00 — about $243 — and will only ship to European territories.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Marvel Giant-Size Comics, EVERY Marvel Chrome 2024 box will receive a special Giant-Size Chrome card as a box-topper!

The release features a 150-card base set with 14 parallels, including the traditional refractors and 1/1 Superfractors, as well as “1st Appearance” cards.
Inserts include Spider-Man Gold, Marvel Icons, Daredevil 60th Anniversary, Marvel 90s and more. Each box will also come with a Giant-Size Chrome card as a box-topper.
Among the case hits are Topps Patrimony cards, which feature a Topps Baseball design from the year the character made its Marvel Comics debut.
The Marvel Topps Chrome release arrives amid rumors that the license to make Marvel cards will transition from Upper Deck to Topps and Fanatics in the coming months. Rumors of a change began widely circulating during July’s San Diego Comic-Con, though no official news has been announced since.
Neither Topps nor Upper Deck immediately returned cllct's requests for comment.
Speculation on licensing restrictions by hobbyists continued Friday with the release limited to European territories — Topps has previously released products like Disney 100 Chrome exclusively through Topps UK.
According to a Topps source, the Marvel release is part of an exciting European deal exclusively for ecommerce.
Despite the region lock, Marvel Topps Chrome will inevitably reach the United States. Online trading card retailers like Dave and Adam’s Card World and Blowout Cards have already announced initial offers of $500 per box.
