Massive sales for the Paul Skenes and Jackson Holliday Rookie Debut Patch Autograph cards led a record-setting Fanatics Collect March Premier Auction on Thursday night.

Skenes’ RDPA, which sold for $1.11 million, became both the most expensive Skenes card to sell at public auction and the most expensive RDPA to ever sell.

The previous high for any Skenes card was the $123,220 paid for the 2023 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Autographs Superfractor 1/1 at Goldin in September, and the highest known sale of an RDPA prior to Thursday was the $105,000 paid privately for Jackson Chourio’s.

The $1.11 million sale of Skenes’ RDPA is the fourth million-dollar sale for a sports card in 2025 and the most expensive modern baseball card to sell since 2022, when a 2009 Bowman Draft Mike Trout Chrome Prospects Autographs Red Refractor /5 BGS 9.5/10 sold for $1.08 million at PWCC.

Holliday’s RDPA sold for $198,000, breaking the previous record of $68,527 for any Holliday card. That card is now the second-most expensive RDPA to sell publicly behind only the Skenes example.

Overall, the March Premier Auction was the most successful for Fanatics Collect since acquiring and rebranding the PWCC Marketplace with $10.579 million in total sales across 232 lots. The previous record for a Fanatics Collect Premier Auction was the $5.39 million in total sales from November 2024’s 97-lot auction.

Other notable sales from Thursday’s auction include the $528,000 paid for the 2023 Panini National Treasures Victor Wembanyama Logoman 1/1 PSA 9.

Considered one of Wembanyama’s most important rookies, that card is now the second-most paid for any Wembanyama card at public auction despite lacking the traditional autograph often featured alongside Logoman patches.

The current record for any Wembanyama card is the $860,100 paid for the 2023-24 Panini Prizm Nebula Choice 1/1 PSA 9 in February.

Another key baseball card to sell Thursday was the 2016 Bowman Chrome Juan Soto Prospects Autographs Red Refractor /5 PSA 9/10, which fetched $204,000 on 41 bids to become the third-most expensive Soto card to sell at public auction.

Two high-end Ohtani examples also sold Friday morning, causing discussion among collectors over their final hammer prices. Both 2018 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor Autographs /50, a PSA 10/10 example fetched $204,000 while a BGS 9.5/10 copy sold for just $96,000.

Among the top basketball cards to sell, a 2018 National Treasures Luka Doncic Gold RPA /10 PSA 9 that was pulled by Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams last year sold for $144,000.
