A variety of top grails and chases sold at public auction in February, including a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle.

After just seven cards sold for $1 million or more publicly in 2024, three topped that number in a single weekend in February.

From Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle rookies to ultra-modern grails, here are the top 10 card sales from the second month of 2025.

1. 1916 M101-4 Sporting News Babe Ruth Blank Back Rookie PSA 7

Though it fell short of its $2.5 million estimate, the top card sale of the month still notched the highest card sale since November 2024.

One of Ruth’s most coveted card and considered by many to be his true rookie cards, it is up more than double since the previous sale of a PSA 7 in 2017 for $600,000.

2. 2003 Upper Deck LeBron James Exquisite Collection RPA /23 BGS 8.5/10

For the first time since 2022, a LeBron James card surpassed the $1 million mark.

James now has 19 sales in seven figures, more than Michael Jordan (five), Babe Ruth (seven) and Wayne Gretzky (three) combined.

3. 1955 Topps Roberto Clemente PSA 9

The third time this card in a PSA 9 has cleared $1 million at public auction, the sale is up from the $840,000 last paid for a comparable copy in September 2024 and the highest price paid since September 2022.

4. 2023 Panini Prizm Victor Wembanyama Nebula Choice 1/1 PSA 9

  • Price: $860,100
  • Auction: Goldin

Despite a blood clot sidelining the phenom for the remainder of the season Feb. 20, one of his biggest cards managed to smash the previous record for a Wembanyama card.

5. 1997 SkyBox E-X2001 Kobe Bryant Essential Credentials Now /8 BGS 9

  • Price: $579,500
  • Auction: Goldin

A month after an Allen Iverson card from the same set fetched a record, with the hammer price surpassing $700,000, this rare Bryant made waves in its public auction debut.

6. 2007 Exquisite Number Piece Michael Jordan/LeBron James /23 BGS 9.5

Despite its production after Jordan’s retirement, the dual patch card marked a new record for any dual Jordan-James card.

7. 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 7

The second-highest price ever for a 1952 Mantle PSA 7, only behind a November 2022 result for $468,000, the auction was a major leap from recent sales which have come in less than $300,000.

8. 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle SGC 9

Another Mantle makes the list — this time as one of the finest examples of his rookie card.

9. 1910 T210 Old Mill Cigarettes Series 8 Joe Jackson SGC 2

A record for the rare “Shoeless” Joe Jackson card in the grade, it is the fifth-most expensive card featuring the legendary ballplayer in public auction history.

10. 2018 Panini Prizm Luka Doncic Gold /10 PSA 10

  • Price: $341,600
  • Auction: Goldin

Still short of the record for the card — $780,000 for a PSA 10 in 2021 — Doncic rounds out the list with his top sale since 2022.
